Shiv Narayan was bestowed with the prestigious title of "Johari Tarash (The Excellent Jeweller)" by Nizam VII, Mir Osman Ali Khan—a title reserved for only the most exceptional artisans in gemstone cutting and jewellery craftsmanship.

1923

Seth Sri Shiv Narayan Ji established his first Gaddi (or showroom as they are known today) at Gulzar Houz, Charminar, Hyderabad, under the name Ramprasad Shiv Narayan Estate Jewellers. From within this historic setting, he crafted exquisite jewels for the Nizams and the elite of Hyderabad.

1932

Recognizing his unparalleled skill, the Nizam appointed him as Chief Jeweller of the Deccan Estate (Sardar-E-Johri), entrusting him with the curation and supervision of the royal family’s legendary treasury.

1954

Satyanarayan Agarwal, who expanded the business while maintaining the meticulous standards of fine craftsmanship. Under his guidance, the brand continued to serve royalty and high society, becoming synonymous with jewels of unparalleled beauty, featuring emeralds, rubies, diamonds, and Basra pearls—the very essence of Nizami opulence.

1971

In the mid-20th century, Jamanlal Agarwal, the third generation, took the helm and modernized operations while preserving the family’s artisanal values. He not only strengthened the supply chain for rare gemstones but also expanded the brand’s reputation across India, ensuring that each creation retained the grandeur of its royal heritage.

1982

Kamal Kishore Agarwal joined the family business, ushering in a new era of growth. With a deep-rooted passion for jewellery and an eye for innovation, he recognized the potential for Shiv Narayan Jewellers to evolve into a luxury house with a global presence. His visionled to the formation of Shiv Narayan Jewellers as a proprietorship in 2001, marking a pivotal shift towards an international future.

1999

Tushar Agarwal joined the family business at the young age of 12. Having grown up surrounded by generations of jewellery connoisseurs and enthusiasts, Tushar Agarwal was naturally drawn to the art of fine jewellery. Even while pursuing his education, he immersed himself in the business, learning the craft firsthand. From understanding gemstone selection and setting techniques to mastering the intricate process of handcrafting high jewellery, he developed a keen eye for excellence.

2012

The company is incorporated as Shiv Narayan Jewellers Pvt. Ltd., laying the foundation for a grander, more ambitious expansion. That same year, the brand made its international debut in Dubai, captivating a global audience with its exquisite craftsmanship and heritage-driven designs.

Now, as Managing Director, Tushar Agarwal is shaping the next chapter of Shiv Narayan Jewellers, bringing its regal heritage into the modern age.
